It is always nice to have a plate of local cheeses, bread or crackers, and perhaps some local pickled veggies available as people arrive.


With the mussels, a Carpenter Creek riesling or sauvignon blanc would be a good match. Pinot noir from Challenger Ridge would be great with the pork roast. With the walnut cake, pour some Gravenstein hard cider from Rosabella's.


If you wish, locally brewed ale could accompany the whole meal as well. Non alcoholic choices include sparkling apple cider.
