NORTHWEST STYLE

A FEAST OF LOCAL
SEAFOOD AND VEGETABLES
So, you do not like turkey, what do you do at Thanksgiving? Have a good old Northwest seafood feast! Oysters, mussels, crab, and halibut are all available, maybe even salmon, too. You need to be creative to bring in a few traditional Thanksgiving items in a complimentary way. I am going to outline some ideas using local ingredients wherever possible, and give a few suggested recipes to begin the process, but I urge you to innovate. The Salish Sea is a bountiful source of sustainable seafood and Skagit Valley winter fruits and vegetables are still plentiful. Enjoy!
