We have so many great food products in our region, and we can find them at retail stores, most open year round. Many farmers and food producers do not sell directly, so these stores carry many wonderful products that you can't get anywhere else.
We are also lucky to have many restaurants that really care about serving fresh, seasonal, local food. And, since we can't cook every meal at home, it's nice to know we can continue to "eat local" in these friendly restaurants, where the owners values are the same as ours.
