CARAMEL APPLE PUDDING CAKE
Cake
3 cups diced apples
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 tablespoons walnut oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup grated walnuts
1 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together apples, sugar, and vanilla and let stand 10 minutes
Add remaining ingredients and mix well
Bake in a buttered and floured 8" square pan for 45 minutes
Caramel Sauce
1/3 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 pound butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons whole cream
Boil syrup, sugar, salt, and butter until thickened
Cool slightly and whisk in the cream
Pour the sauce over the warm cake and let it soak in well
Serve with whipped cream
